HUMANITARIAN AGENCY FOR COMMUNITY INITIATIVE (HACI) KENYA
1. Human dignity and Gender equity: All women and men have equal rights in the community to participate in the development activities. HACI Kenya works to ensure participation of all targeted communities in its development interventions. All HACI Kenya staff shall have an equal opportunity to develop their careers and excel based on their experience and qualification. HACI Kenya Staff and management will ensure gender equity in all aspects of the organization.
2. Honesty, Integrity, Sincerity and Transparency: All HACI staff shall promote Honesty, Integrity, Sincerity and Transparency in all activities and in accordance with the HACIs code of conduct.
3. Cost Consciousness and prudent management of resources: The organizational resources shall be used prudently to achieve the project goals. HACI Kenya Staff
shall remain highly accountable on best use of resources through result-based approaches.
4. Concern for Environment: All HACI Kenya implemented projects will be environmentally sound and friendly. The HACI premises will be free from hazardous substances and will be a non-smoking environment. Garbage and litter will be managed appropriately in both the office premises and project areas of operation.
5. Quality services: HACI Kenya believes in continuous quality improvement; and works to ensure that quality underpins all the interventions we undertake. Quality assurance metrics will be reflected in donor reports and partners engagements. Staffs shall be responsible for maintaining the quality of the program during the activities’ implementation and dissemination.
6. Capability and Accountability: Beneficiaries of HACI Kenya shall possess the knowledge, understanding and capability to identify and resolve their problems while the staffs shall facilitate the process of implementation. HACI Kenya shall be accountable to its donors and other stakeholders through appropriate reporting and sharing of lessons learnt. The organization shall ensure that donor and community resources are used for intended purposes.
7. Creativity and Innovation: In all cases, creativity and innovation will be appreciated and promoted in the project or program cycle implementation. Creative and innovative staff will be rewarded.
